What do I value in writing? I think it all depends on the type of essay it is.

For example, if it's a history essay, I would consider it to be "good" or "valuable" if it covers all the points in a clear manner. Even thought it may be "basic" or it doesn't use really strong vocabulary. As long as it answers the questions/points, and it's professionally written, I would cosider it as valuable.

If it's an English essay, on the other hand, I would consider it valuable if the author is being creative, using very strong vocabulary, and is expressing her/himself. I believe that for it to be a "good" english essay, it has to be expressional, and in some way, they are able to connect with the people.

I do believe that all type of writing have to change the way people think or feel. It has to move people in a particular way. Not only that, but they also have to be able to catch the audience's attention.
